About Us

Victoria Tennis Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities and we are always keen to hear from anyone who is interested in joining our thriving and friendly club. We strongly recommend that you visit our club to see the excellent facilities for yourselves and meet some of our members who would be only too delighted to answer any questions you may have. We are confident that you will be impressed and want to become a member yourself.

Our friendly club was established in 1910 on Victoria Park from where we take our name  and we relocated to our present site in 1934. There are three all weather hard courts with macadam surfaces and as from March 2015 two newly completed clay courts. All five courts have quality floodlighting  allowing  for  year round play. A car park is available and the grounds are in a secluded pleasant residential area surrounded by mature trees and gardens. 

 Our clubhouse has a table tennis table and a pool table. There is a well equipped kitchen  and we have a Saturday morning tuck shop. In addition we sell tea, coffee, soft drinks and our bacon rolls are very popular !

The clubhouse is well maintained with spacious changing rooms and shower facilities, a well -stocked bar and a light and airy lounge which as well as being used by tennis players also provides a relaxed facility for our many and varied social events. We are lucky to have an outstanding professional coach  JON SIDDON who is available throughout the year for individual and group coaching for both juniors and seniors. He also runs our very popular Courses during the school holidays.  Further details can be found on the Weekly Programme and Coaching Pages. We run many teams both for Adults and Juniors and compete at various levels  and in County leagues with great success.

We are a LTA registered venue 2018/19 and all coaches are LTA accredited, licensed and insured.
